Thank you for visiting the website for Team Rex.  We are six kids on a FIRST Lego League (FLL)Team who meets twice a week at a home in Elon, NC to work on FLL challenges.  Our Team won the NC State Championship in Greensboro, NC on February 20th and represented North Carolina at the World Festival in Atlanta during April 15-17.

The World Festival was an event honoring team, robotic, and project accomplishments.  During 2 1/2 days, the team members took part in judging sessions and robot competition rounds, culminating at a final FLL award ceremony followed by a big party at the Centenniel Park in downtown Atlanta including fireworks to celebrate all the achievements.  Read more...

FLL is all about Gracious Professionalism, a term that has been coined by Dr. Woodie Flowers, FIRST National Advisor and Pappalardo Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
"With Gracious Professionalism, fierce competition and mutual gain are not separate notions. Gracious professionals learn and compete like crazy, but treat one another with respect and kindness in the process. They avoid treating anyone like losers. No chest thumping tough talk but no sticky-sweet platitudes either. Knowledge, competition, and empathy are comfortably blended."  USFIRST.org
