World Festival in Atlanta, April 15-17, 2010

Team Announcement before the Robot Runs
Each team was announced with lots of noise and cheering before the robot runs.

First Robot Run with Owen and Benny
This is the first robot run for Team Rex at the FLL World Festival in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. This run was flawless and earned the full 400 points for the team.

Second Robot Run with Jan and Gavin
During the second run the robot ran into problems with the tape that was used to glue the mat to the table. In the end, the referees gave the team the full 400 points though.

Team Rex Negotiates with the Head Referee
The field mat was glued with black tape to the table during the competition at the FLL World Festival in Atlanta. Because of the tape, our robot could not push one of the sensor walls all the way to the table frame. Instead the sensor wall was tilted and as a result, the robot got misaligned and missed the access marker in the corner. The team successfully convinced the referee at the table and head referee that the tape should not have been there in the first place and got the full 400 points awarded for the run.

Third Robot Run with Lena and Tobias
A small flaw in the setup caused the robot to knock down a warning beacon resulting in a 390 point run.

Group Activity with Spanish Team Laurosoninc
The Spanish team Laurosonic was the partner for Team Rex during the FLL World Festival. Among other activities, the team had to come up with a unique handshake.
